Admissions

For primary age pupils who have a statement of special educational needs or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP)  or are in the process of having one drawn up, it may be suggested that their future schooling would be more appropriate within a special school setting such as Lisburne.  Some pupils need to be taught in smaller groups, have closer contact with adults and differentiated teaching methods in order for them to make appropriate progress.  At Lisburne we provide pupils with the opportunity to make progress at their own pace and have access to the full range of National Curriculum subjects in addition to an enriched curriculum.

Placement at Lisburne School follows a full professional assessment of the child’s needs. Parental and carers involvement in this process is important and visits to the school are welcome.

Admission arrangements to Lisburne School are made through the SEN Department at the Local Education Authority (LEA) specialeducation@stockport.gov.uk or call 0161 474 2525
