Autumn 2021

What we do at School: Music Therapy

At Lisburne we feel it is important to share our knowledge with parents and carers and those wishing to understand more about the way we educate and communicate with the children of Lisburne School. We will be releasing a series of videos looking specifically at the teaching tools we use to develop, enhance and enrich our pupils’ education. Please find below our most recent video in this series: “Music Therapy”. If you wish to find out more please contact your class teacher or your Family Liaison.

Lisburne School Focusses Autumn Term 2021-2022

Each year at Lisburne we identify focus areas of the curriculum.  This year in English, we are focusing on our early writing skills, in Maths we are looking at problem solving using technology and in PSHE we are focusing on reconnecting as a school and within our community.  Below are 3 videos explaining how each of our focuses have been broken down for Autumn Term. If you have any questions regarding our three main focusses for this term then please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher on Tapestry or Class Dojo.

Please view the videos here.

Fiction Week – Making Stories Magical

This term our Creative Week is English focused, looking at fiction stories with the theme ‘Making Stories Magical’.  Our children LOVE stories and we are really excited to explore some challenging and exciting books.
Our classes will be exploring lots of different fantasy stories through drama, creativity and active learning. Keep an eye on your class DOJO or Tapestry for pictures and up-dates!

Welcome Back

Dear Parents and Carers

A very warm welcome back~ we have enjoyed seeing the children arrive and transition so happily into their new classes. The teachers and staff worked hard over the summer to ensure that classrooms and resources were ready for the children. Can we remind parents that all children should come to school wearing their Lisburne uniform and as we know that the weather can be quite unpredictable – please can you make sure that children come in to school with a raincoat and suitable footwear.

This is always a very busy time of year; we would like to thank you all for your patience and cooperation with the split times for drop off and pick up. The earlier times are for taxi drop off and then this is followed by parents – this is to ensure the safety of all our children, we appreciate your support and help making this work.
