The Governing body is made up of representatives from the local authority, school staff, parents and members of the local community.

Governors are normally in the post for 4 years. Currently, we have:

  • 3 Parent Governors – elected by the parents and carers of the children at Lisburne
  • 1 Teacher Governor – elected by the school staff
  • 1 LEA Governor – nominated by Stockport Local Education Authority, elected by the governing body
  • 5 Co-opted Governors – elected by the governing body. 

The Headteacher attends all governing body meetings. The Deputy Headteacher and School Business Manager attend by invitation.
