This week the children at Lisburne School celebrated our harvest festival.
We used our skills in arts and crafts to create some beautiful collages of autumnal scenes and we took walks out in the community to look at the leaves turning orange, brown and yellow whilst falling from the trees. We learned about sharing and the importance of food and we also celebrated the festival through lots of music and songs. Normally our parents and carers would have joined us in school to celebrate, unfortunately this isn’t possible due to current restrictions therefore we wanted to provide a video which showcases the fun activities we have been involved in this week. Well done to all the children for getting involved in the celebrations.
At Lisburne we feel it is important to share our knowledge with parents and carers and those wishing to understand more about the way we educate and communicate with the children of Lisburne School. Over the next few months we will be releasing a series of videos looking specifically at the teaching tools we use to develop, enhance and enrich our pupils’ education. Please find below our most recent video in this series: “Sensory Story”

The teachers and staff have worked hard over the last few months to ensure that classrooms and resources were ready for the children. As the autumn term starts, we know that the weather can be quite unpredictable so please can you make sure that children come in to school with a raincoat and suitable footwear…
